= Exquisite watercolours, colourful and with extreme detail, in this third and last part of a unique manuscript ornithological compendium. The text is based on M. Houttuyn/ Ph.L.S. Müller, Des Ritters Carl von Linné vollständiges Natursystem (1773-1776, containing 159 plates for all species of animals of which 28 of birds), the contents of which are paraphrased, summarized, or literally copied. The plates are based on Houttuyn/ Müller, Buffon and the other authors mentioned in the title, but a large number of them are drawn from life (as also stated in the title, "nach der Natur"). At the bottom of each plate the source of the image(s) is given (for the books that is mostly Buffon), and in the case of the drawings from life, the months and year of the drawing (i.e. the preliminary sketch/ drawing) is mentioned - some as early as 1771.
