Aanschot, Ameland, Bergen op Zoom, Beynat, Enschede, Rotterdam, Rouen, Veere en Zierikzee); ±9 pencil drawings w. designs for chandeliers, vases and urns (sizes between ±11,7x6,8 cm. and ±15x11,8 cm., w. intended height written in pencil below); ±15 drawings in pencil and watercolour w. designs for tiles (sizes between ±11,4x9,4 cm. and ±25x20 cm.); ±120 original designs, drawings, press proofs and sketches (mainly in pencil, sometimes pen and ink and/ or watercolour, various sizes between ±5,7x9,8 cm. and 36,5x26 cm., (some) dated between 1941 and 1960), showing portraits, ex libris and bookcover designs, i.a. = I.a. early designs made during his studies at the art academy of The Hague, 1940-1943, with designs clearly inspired by Paul Schuitema and Co-op2, i.a. a small poster design for Kurhaus concerten zomer 1941 (collage); a Ford car trade catalogue (w. photomontage) and frontcover design (w. mounted photographs and collage) for Catalogus bibliotheek Academie van Beeldende Kunsten. During his time at the academy Gerard De Vries became the photography tutor after the demise of Paul Guermonprez; also later designs for i.a. a stand by butter company CMC, vehicle designs for Melkinrichting Vooruitgang, various logo designs and sketches. = Belgian darts is/ was a pub game and played with four darts and a target board made out of solid wood. The concentric circles each represent a value between 5 and 50, with 5 being the outer rim and 50 the bulls eye.This decorative board also functions as an advertising sign for the alcoholic beverage Amer Cuvelier.
