- Numbering of leaves on verso shows that at least 8 leaves are lacking; vague stamp on inside of portfolio. Boxes worn, mainly on corners; covers foxed; traces of ticket on frontcover and paper ticket on spine.

= Curious and probably unique set of skilfully handpainted and calligraphed leaves, possibly by Joachim Hemsli (?) (name in pen on inside of one of the two boxes). The boxes and leaves are stamped (on verso) "Kunstwerkstatt/ Kassel-W. Moselweg".

= Interesting document, in which Harriet Ricardo, daughter in law of the well-known British economist David Ricardo, writes about her travels through Vienna, Germany and Italy. She writes about the weather, the accomodations, the food and how she feels. She visited numerous sights, such as the palace of Schönbrunn (Vienna), Schleißheim (Oberschleißheim) and Corsini (Rome), took many walks and enjoyed nature, for example by Lake Königssee. She also lists about who she corresponds with: i.a. Bertha, Jane, Mrs Ricardo, Mary Anne, Kate, David and Henrietta. Harriet was accompanied by a certain Mary, most likely her sister in law; she provides the only reference to her father in law, namely when she writes: ''Mary had a letter from David (...), with the good news that Kate has a little girl & is doing well''.

= A rare legal document issued by the notary Gerrit Drost for Jan Philip Daniel Scheidius, who wanted to sell his slave Lion or Leon to a J.C. Baud, who sells him in 1814 to L.C. von Ranzow (who was an officer of the Dutch army in the Dutch Indies), who sells him in turn in 1820 to T.W. Burslem (on Banca). All three transactions were for the amount of 150 guilders. Although Dutch slavery is mostly connected to the Americas, there were also many enslaved people in the Dutch Indies, partly from Africa, partly from Asia (i.a. low casts from India). This document was issued during the British rule over the Dutch East Indies between 1811 and 1816.
