= Koeman, Handleiding no.24; Koeman, Geschiedenis p.192: "In de periode 1806-1810 werd aan het Depot-Generaal van Oorlog onder leiding van Krayenhoff aan een postkaart gewerkt. Vóór die tijd heeft Nederland geen postkaarten van het gehele grondgebied gehad." Koeman further mentions that while the map was to be published with the title ending with the year number, it appeared just after the Kingdom of Holland had been annexed by the French Empire, and that at the last moment the phrase "vereenigd met het Fransche Rijk" was added below the year. Our copy does not have that phrase. The owner was Louis de Mellet, a high military official in the Dutch army under Lodewijk Napoleon.
