"De Grietenye van Dongerdeel West-Zyde der Pasens". "De Grietenye van Utingeradeel waer over tegenwoordig de Ed. Heer Regnerus van Andringa Grietman is." Two engr. maps by B. SCHOTANUS À STERRINGA, both 28x36 cm., from C. SCHOTANUS, Beschryvinge van de heerlyckheydt van Frieslandt (1664).
- Second map trifle yellowed and margins sl. frayed.

- One part w. red collector's mark in the image.
= Koeman, Geschiedenis p.185: "Tot die genieofficieren die trouw aan de Oranjes gebleven waren behoorden o.a. W. Kamp, H. Bunnik en W. van der Linden. Zij namen in 1795 de wijk naar Pruissen, waar zij een opdracht tot de kartering van Oostfriesland ontvingen. Het resultaat was een manuscript op een schaal van ca. 1:60 000. Hieruit werd in Berlijn een kaart ca. 1:120 000 gegraveerd. (...) In het westen reikt deze kaart tot de stad Groningen, waardoor ze ook betekenis heeft voor de historische kartografie van Nederland, met name door een gedetailleerde topografie van de nederzettingen."

= The orig. drawings made by Van Alff for the portfolio "Haarlem. Twaalf steendrukken" publ. Haarlem, 1916. The drawings present are: 1. "Stadsbeeld gezien uit het Haarlemmer Houtpark"; 3."Binnenplaats Brouwerij Het Scheepje"; 7. "Spaarne bij het Visschershofje" (signed in full); 8. "Waag en omgeving" (2 drawings: a drawing in soft pencil and black chalk and a drawing in black and orange crayon); 9. "Begijnhof achter de Waalsche Kerk"; 10. "Gast-huizen Groot Heiligland" and 12. "Binnenhof Proveniershuis" (monogrammed). Cat. Harlemia Illustrata, p.72.
WITH the portfolio containing all the lithographs (Haarlem, Vereeniging "Haerlem", 1916, 12 tinted lithographs, all signed "P. van A." on the stone, printed in 200 numb. copies signed by president and the director of the Vereniging "Haerlem" on verso of backwr., folio). - AND WITH a copy of the Jaarverslag der "Vereeniging Haerlem" over 1915/16 (Haarlem, 1916, 1 photogr. plate after P. VAN ALFF (from the portfolio), orig. wr. Sl. foxed; contains the announcement of the publication of the portfolio of Van Alff's lithographs).
- Yellowed/ browned and soiled.
= After finding pieces of an old toy tower clock in the collection of the city of Haarlem, the city archivist A.J. Enchedé tried to restore the clock to its former glory. Finally his successor C.J. Gonnet found the artist and clock maker F.C. Addicks who was willing to fulfill that task in 1904. It was finished in 1910. The exterior was made by the atelier of architect P.J.H. Cuypers. This drawing was probably made around 1910, perhaps when it was first exhibited.
- Left corners sl. dam., not affecting image; sl. stained in margins.
