= Two secretarial letters from Snouckaert van Schauburg, burger and alderman of 's-Hertogenbosch, to Johan van Overrijn van Schotenbos, residing in Haarlem. In the first letter he announces the death of his first wife Isabella Doublet. In the second letter he announces his second marriage, with A.M. van Randwijck. Provenance: the collection A.M. van den Broek.

= The main text is in very neat, small handwriting in a shape reminiscent of Celtic knotwork, done by Elisabet de Graaf, thanking Dutch East India Company administrator (bewindhebber) van der Mandere and his wife. The administrator in question is likely Jacob van der Mandere (1707-1775) or alternatively his son (?) Engelbert Johan van der Mandere (1744-1827), both of whom were administrators for the Dutch East India Company in Zeeland. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXXVII.

= Louix XIV declares that the clergy, the nobilty and the states of Lille and surroundings have agreed to assemble and discuss various matters. Louis' cousin, the Duke of Bouffler, is asked to witness and to oversee the assembly. The addressees are asked to put their trust in this gathering, in order for them to receive advantages. Provenance: the collection J. Baart de la Faille.

Stel de noodige persing in't werk en de poepe volge dadelyk: wil men se gemaskeerd hebbe eet men van te vore wat rauwe vijgen, Chalotte, bies of Knoflook of wat Duyvels drek nae meer de reuk verkiest".

= Unpublished autograph/ manuscript copy(?) by/ of K. van Alkemade or P. van der Schelling concerning the Dutch noble house of Brederode with 17th cent. documents transcribed and provided with commentaries. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXXVII.
= With the text: "Wilt gij dit lezer recht begrijpen, zoo moet gij wel uw herzens slijpen. Volg maar de zin der woorden naar, begin dan met het woordtje...." The solution is added on a piece of copypaper (in a modern hand), which reads: "Staat wandelaar staat stil! Hieronder ligt 'werelds alder grootste wonder. Een groote logge lange vent van negen voet of daar omtrent. Liet hem in veele koninkrijke voor gelt aan duizenden bekijkken. Vergaarde dus een groote schat, kwam hier en stierf in Spaarn Stadt." Kajamis was the Finnish Daniel Cajanus, who measured 2,60 meter and lived in the Proveniershuis in Haarlem from 1745 until his death in 1749.

= Contains several deeds of transport, mortgage deeds and documents regarding the sale or lease of various premises, i.a. property "staende en leggende op de Coudenhorn op de hoek van de Valckesteegh" (1706); "een Huijs met den Erve en een Stal daar nevens, mede staande ende leggende in de agterstraat (...) sijnde een grutterij genaamd Rotterdam" (1728-1838, 6x); a "huijs metten erve staande ende leggende in de Anegang tussen de Veerstraat en Warmoesstraat alwaar nu laast de Gaepende Midas uythangen heeft" (1739-1764, 2x); "een huis en erve, staande ende geleegen op het Donkere Spaarne bij de Bakenessergragt" (1803-1857, 17x) as well as property along the Spaarne and in the Kleine Houtstraat.

Other owners mentioned: woodturner Wolterus Nederkoorn, blacksmith Petrus Stephanus Schous, carpenter Dirk Nierop senior, shop- and coffeehousekeeper Dirk Nierop junior, Pieter Cornelis André de la Porte and Jacob Guldemond. Also containing documents concerning Hotel Insulinde in Zandvoort and property in the Jazijkoffstraat in Zaandam.

= Letter to Paul Frederik August von Oldenburg (1784-1853), thanking him for the invitation to the celebration of his marriage with Princess Cecilia of Sweden (1807-1844). She expresses the wish that he will be happy and find comfort in this marriage after the trials he went through (August lost his first two wives in maternity; Cecilia will have the same fate): "(...) Si les souhaits les plus constants y peuvent contribuer, veuillez compter les miens au nombre de [ceux?] qui vous sont offerts du fond du coeur en vous rappelant les anciens temps qui nous rapprochèrent pendant des annees (...)".
