- Badly damaged w. loss of paint; margins most likely cut off; waterstained. Sold w.a.f.
- Sl. foxed/ dustsoiled. Originally the drawing was a much larger and rectangular of shape. For unknown reasons the sides were blackened, probably by the artist himself as the final drawing only shows this part of the composition. On verso the shape of a construction, i.a. on the right an overhanging roof can still be seen.
= Study for the larger red chalk drawing, dated 1770 and sold at Sotheby's, London in July, 1998 (lot 85). Provenance: sold at auction Paul Brandt, Amsterdam in february 1971. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXVI.
- Sl. soiled; sellotape stains in margins on verso, partly shining through.
- Sl. soiled and some wrinkles; verso w. sm. sellotape stains along margins.
- Yellowed; skilfully repaired tear.
- Sl. yellowed; fold in lower blank margin.
- Mounted.
- Sl. yellowed and foxed.

- Some foxing; partly sl. yellowed from former passepartout; remnants in corners from former mounting.

- Sl. yellowed and wrinkled; tear in left margin.
- Foxed and yellowed; 2 sm. repaired tears in margins; pinholes and sm. traces of tape in corners.
- Both of unclear provenance.

- A few vague stains and some sl. foxing.
Anonymous (18th cent.). (Soldier with a lance). Drawing, pencil, 8,5x7,5 cm., framed.
- Two folds in top margin.
= With a dedicatory poem: "Grato ti son Morgari (...)". Perhaps one of the painters Morgari, Paolo Emilio Morgari or his brother Rodolfo.
AND 11 other 19th cent. drawn portraits, i.a. a small portrait of a lady with an attribution to L. VIGÉE-LE BRUN.
