Theod. Bom (...). The picture books of G.Theod. Bom were without dispute the most attractive and entertaining for children at the time. "Pierrot's Life" is especially entertaining of its many jokes and naughty tricks played upon grown-ups, as well as for its wild adventures in exotic countries. Pierrot presents here rather a mixture of various other popular characters, like Thyl Ulenspiegel, Gulliver and Baron Munchausen."
