= A rare New Year's wish presented by the "Kraan kinderen" of the old crane in the harbour of Antwerp. The "Kraan kinderen" is the name used for the young and often short labourers treading the wheels of a crane to lift wine (and other heavy loads such as sacks of grain and salt) from ships onto the quay.
- Lower blank margin sl. soiled. = Rare. Hollstein 37 (only state).
- Closed tears in right margin (one tear just touching the image); trifle foxed in right margin. From the collection of Van Eekelen, with his collector's mark and his description of the print in ballpoint on verso.

= Not in Hollstein. A rare and interesting sl. naive print, quoting in French the verses of the poet Saint-Amant on the bad luck of inhabitant of colder climes for not being able to enjoy the sweetness of wine. The Dutch caption extolls the value of wine as a medicine. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE LXXX.
